Euroflex Monster Floor Steam Cleaner Blue EZ1

Let me start by saying, I ordered this cleaner off of Amazon, as a refurbished product. When I received it, it was in great condition and was working appropriately.

This unit is for steam cleaning your floors. It is unique from its competitors because it has an attachment to steam the carpet. It also boasts its unique front steam jets. There is no vacuum component to this cleaner. It is simple to use. There's no on/off button. It is turned on when plugging it in. The only controls on the unit are for the amount of steam. There is a washable cloth that is attached to the base by Velcro. The unit comes with four of these cloths, two for floors, two for carpets.

To use: Pour water into the tank which is closed by a screw cap. No additives are needed as the steam will do the cleaning. To warm the water, simply plug in the unit. While warming, you must prepare your floors by vacuuming or sweeping. The green light will come on when the water is hot enough to start your steaming. Choose your steam setting and start your cleaning. There is no need to apply any pressure when moving across the floor; the weight of the unit does this for you. The electrical cord is very long allowing a large perimeter to be covered.

So how did it go?

This unit is very easy to use. It is rectangular in shape and somewhat large surface area which makes it bit awkward in the bathroom. There is no pivot component which limits your cleanable space. The product boasts the front jets but I felt this made no difference. The edges were difficult to get. When cleaning, especially in the bathroom, I had to go wipe along the baseboards to get the last 1/4 inch. If done immediately, it was very effective. It was almost impossible to get back behind the toilet. There is no attachment to this unit. Other models allow you to use an attachment for these difficult to reach areas. It would also be nice to use the steam cleaner on sinks, faucets, shower, tub, etc. This units does not allow this to be done. The handle is very long. I am nearly 5'10" and had no problem with the handle height. The cord is very long. I was able to keep it plugged in in the kitchen and travel down the basement stairs without having to replug it in. The cloth is very absorbent and very easily washed in the washer. It did start to get more difficult to get it to "stick" to the Velcro as time went on. The opening to pour water into the tank is very small. The unit came with a small plastic cup, with pouring spout, to pour water into the tank. The instructions caution on putting in too much water but there is no way to tell how much water is already in the tank. Perhaps an area on the outside showing how much water is already in the tank would be helpful. A funnel would also have been helpful.

One day, I plugged in the unit to do my usual cleaning and the green light would not come on. I tried everything I could think of and could not get it to work. I contacted the seller and very easily got a full refund. Perhaps this is why it was refurbished in the first place. Despite this failure, I would say this is a very nice unit. I would have liked it more if it had a vacuum component and the possibility of using attachments.
