Apple Crumb Pie
This is from one of my mom's recipe cards. It is labeled mom.
4-5 large tart apples
1/2 c sugar
1 t cinnamon1 unbaked pie shell
Topping:
1/2 c sugar
3/4 c flour
1/3 c margarine (I would use butter but recipe says margarine)
Peel and slice apples into wedge shapes. Lay our into pie shell. Mix topping until crumbly texture. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 400 for 25 minutes. Then reduce over to 350 and bake for another 10-15 minutes, protecting crust from burning with foil if needed.
