Hot Fudge Sauce

This is a simple version of hot fudge. It uses cocoa powder instead of butter chocolate bars. Be sure to blend it at the end as instructed.


1 cup butter
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 cups white sugar
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine butter, cocoa, sugar and evaporated milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and boil for 7 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Blend with immersion blender for 2-4 minutes. Serve immediately. Store in refrigerator.
