Cranberry Bread
This is a recipe from my mom. Nothing overly fancy. Just good cranberry bread.
2 c. flour, sifted
1/2 t salt
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/2 baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 T melted butter
1/2 c. orange juice
2 T hot water
1/2 c chopped nuts
1 c. cut cranberries
1 T grated orange rind
Sift dry ingredients. Add egg, butter, juice and water. Mix until dry ingredients are all moistened. Fold in nuts, cranberries and orange rind. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 325 for about 70 minutes, or until fully cooked.
